However, as we celebrated this milestone, we were struck by a sobering realization: nearly 6% of the individuals we served today were not homeless. These are people with homes, families, and responsibilities, yet they struggle with one of life’s most basic needs—food.
Hunger doesn’t always look the way we expect. It affects parents who skip meals so their children can eat, seniors stretching fixed incomes, and individuals juggling multiple jobs while still falling short. It’s a silent crisis that lurks behind closed doors, and it’s closer to home than many of us realize.
At Food and the Word Outreach Ministry, we’re committed to addressing this crisis. Our mission has always been to meet people where they are, providing more than just food—we strive to deliver dignity, hope, and a reminder that they are not alone.
We can’t do this alone. This holiday season, we invite you to join us in our mission. Whether it’s through donations, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, your support makes all the difference. Together, we can ensure that no one has to wonder where their next meal will come from.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Let’s continue to bring light and hope to our community, one meal at a time.
Thank you,
Food And The Word Outreach Ministry Team
